Founder and Practitioner
“Modern mental healthcare is no longer confined to the boxes of conventional knowledge — it is integrative, expansive, and deeply human. It honors the complexities of who we are, weaving together science, soul and strength to foster small steps toward betterment and wellbeing each day.
Effective and sustainable care teaches the patient about their body’s natural response to trauma. It recognizes the dance between environment and behavior. It’s designed as a safe container for unmasking and re-becoming. And, above all, it helps those who are suffering use their own inner wisdom to find their way back to relentless self-understanding and love.
Collective healing starts with individual care.”
Professionally, I am a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA), psychedelic-assisted therapist, bestselling author, designer of The Expanded Method and former CEO and executive coach.
Personally (and more importantly!), I am a world traveller, dog momma, nature-lover, wellness enthusiast, and former nomad who is honored to have come full circle into this work through her own de-conditioning and challenges.
My strong academic foundation was built on both the East and West coasts, reflecting my deep commitment to understanding human behavior, mental health and wellbeing through multiple but integrated lenses. My educational background includes a B.A. in Psychology at Salisbury University, followed by advanced graduate training in Counseling Culturally Diverse Populations and Education and Human Development at The George Washington University, ranked as one of the nation’s top-ten programs. Since graduate school, I have further refined my expertise through postgraduate certification in Applied Behavior Analysis at George Mason University, Social Entrepreneurship at Stanford University and in various highly-regarded psychedelic-assisted medicine programs, such as the Advanced Certificate in Ketamine-assisted Psychotherapy at Fluence.
My career spans decades of working with diverse populations, blending evidence-based practices with a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to create meaningful change. I have spent the last 22 years studying multiple therapeutic modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic experiencing, theta wave states, meditation and breath work, psychedelic medicine, clinical behavior analysis, buddhist psychology and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), challenging the status quo of mental healthcare and sparking conversations on redefining ourselves beyond the boundaries of social conditioning. My work is a testament to my unwavering belief in the power of science, storytelling, and human connection to inspire growth and healing on both the individual and collective levels.
Beyond my professional practice, my Amazon best-selling book, F*ckless: A Guide to Wild, Unencumbered Freedom, not only explores the fluidity of identity and gender but also serves as a beacon for those navigating the bold, nuanced act of evolving past our socially-conditioned selves. In addition to writing for publications like Oprah Daily, Newsweek, Today.com and Frenshe, I contribute insights on more modern, diverse approaches to therapy, gender and overall wellbeing at events and on podcasts, helping individuals feeling stuck and out of control to break out of neuropsychologically- and socially-engrained patterns and ways of living.
These days, I draw inspiration from my travels and my enduring love for the natural world. Now grounded in Washington, D.C., I find daily joy in meditation, challenging conventional knowledge, exploring the city and in moments spent with my deservedly spoiled rescue dogs, Franklin and Maya.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
“I believe in the transformative power of integrative mental healthcare that sees, honors, and treats the whole person. Too often, psychiatric care is reduced to brief medication visits. Instead, it should create space for true healing by thoughtfully combining innovative treatments with traditional wisdom.
Meaningful transformation happens when we take time to understand not just symptoms, but stories. When we acknowledge that mental health is influenced by sleep, nutrition, hormones, trauma, and systemic inequities. When we create safe spaces for authentic connection and transformation, sustainable and deep healing occurs..
Every person deserves healthcare that makes them feel cared for, connected and supported in their full humanity.”
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), double-published author and psychiatric technology consultant who is dedicated and continuously advocating for holistic mental healthcare. My experience lies in bridging the gap between traditional psychiatric medication management and integrative approaches, incorporating evidence-based nutritional psychiatry, mindfulness, and Ketamine-assisted therapy to support sustainable healing.
I am an avid traveler, cultural enthusiast, lifelong learner who believes that true healing extends beyond clinical settings into the richness of everyday experiences. Exploring different cultures, languages, and perspectives has shaped not only my worldview but also my approach to mental health—one that is deeply compassionate, open-minded, and adaptable to the diverse needs of the people I serve.
My academic foundation reflects my passion for blending conventional psychiatry with innovative therapeutic approaches. After earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, I completed my advanced graduate training culminating in my PMHNP board certification. Further refining my expertise, I have completed training in Ketamine-assisted therapy through Fluence, have led education initiatives at the nation’s largest mental health facility, Veterans Affairs North Texas, and have worked as a provider through Journey Clinical.
Over the years, my career has been dedicated to helping individuals navigate complex mental health challenges by integrating cutting-edge psychiatric treatments with a whole-person approach. I guide and support my clients in patient-centered approaches, using multiple healing modalities like mindfulness-based interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and nutritional psychiatry. My work challenges the conventional limitations of mental healthcare, advocating for personalized, trauma-informed, and neuroscience-backed solutions that empower individuals to reclaim their well-being.
Beyond my clinical practice, I am passionate about mental health education and advocacy, contributing insights to professional literature, wellness events, and podcasts. I aim to demystify psychiatry, challenge outdated narratives, and provide people with the knowledge and tools to take an active role in their healing.
When I’m not working, I find joy in immersing myself in different cultures, reading, exploring new languages, and spending quality time with my family. Traveling fuels my curiosity, while my love for books and language deepens my understanding of the human experience. I balance my professional work with exploring new places, engaging in meaningful conversations, and enjoying moments of connection with my loved ones.
